Seckford Springboard aims to:
- Enable young people to lead economically independent and productive lives;
- Strengthen our community to serve young people in ways which enable them to improve the quality of their lives;
- Share our expertise and experience with those involved in enhancing the lives of young people.
It began with Thomas Seckford who was born in 1515 at Seckford Hall. There’s a lot of history in the 499 years that have passed – but they have shaped the aims and values of the organisation that is known as The Seckford Foundation today.
Seckford Springboard is one of five key aspects within The Seckford Foundation family. These include: Seckford Care, Woodbridge School, Free Schools and the Seckford Theatre.
The mission of The Seckford Foundation is “to excel in the education and care of the young and elderly”.
Springboard focuses on helping young people practically, by providing apprenticeships, mentoring and grants.
Community is vitally important to us. We want to share our expertise and experience wherever possible. This means we aim to be at the leading edge in education and training, working with partners to strengthen abilities and deliver maximum impact. We also work with government and voluntary agencies to develop policy and help delivery.
