Grants for individuals
Do you live in Suffolk? Would you appreciate a bit of extra help?
We can help you if you need £500 or less to make a difference in your life. You might, for example, need a hand getting from home to a training course or a job because of lack of public transport in your area; or need to buy some equipment or tools that are essential for your work… or maybe you are interested in becoming an apprentice.
Simply put, our aim is to help people aged 25 and under to access education, employment and training.
We only help people with a genuine financial need and as you might guess – demand is high – but we promise we’ll consider your application carefully.
Every year we award grants from a total fund of between £25,000 to £30,000, to people like you who are keen to make things happen and just need some money to bridge the gap that’s getting in their way.
Naturally we need to make sure that our aims match and all of our work has to honour the remit of our charity and develop our work.
If you think we can help and you’d like to talk it through, please call 01394 615173 or email here. For more information about eligibility and the application process please see our guidance for applicants.
Grants for organisations
Are you an organisation?
You may have a project you’d like to work on collaboratively, where we could offer in-kind support, or perhaps you’d appreciate a bit of extra help through a monetary grant? We rarely award a grant to an organisation greater than £5,000 and we need to be upfront and let you know that we prefer to focus on helping people rather than investing in capital projects. We prefer to ensure our contribution is critical to your success to make the project or activity happen, which means whilst we will consider funding core staff and running costs we won’t respond to general, large fundraising campaigns. Your organisation doesn’t have to be based in Suffolk, but those benefitting from our grant must be.
Naturally, we need to make sure that our aims match and all of our work has to honour the remit of our charity and develop our work.
