Mentoring is a dynamic, intentional one-to-one relationship built on trust, with a view to transformation. A mentor is encouraging, non-judgemental and supportive and accompanies their mentee for an agreed period of time, equipping them with the reflection that enables them to effect change for themselves.
Would you like a mentor?
A Seckford Springboard mentor will offer dedicated time to give you encouragement, confidence, self-awareness and direction.
What to expect from Springboard mentoring programmes
You can expect six or twelve 60-90 minute mentoring sessions with your mentor, during which time you will talk through whatever you choose to focus on. Your mentor will help you navigate a journey of discovery about yourself, your skills, your potential, your aspirations and ambitions and what might be holding you back. The whole process will help you build firm foundations from which you can move forwards with confidence and purpose.
Well-being mentoring programme
The Springboard well-being mentoring programme focuses on strengths, struggles and self-awareness. The time spent with your mentor helps you form firm foundations, resilience to challenges and an understanding of your unique set of skills.
Careers mentoring programme
The Springboard careers mentoring programme will build your self-awareness and help you understand your unique skills and talents, where they can be applied and how to articulate them. During time with your mentor you will explore your ambitions and aspirations, your strengths and attributes as well as areas you want to develop or discover. This is not a careers guidance programme but you will be matched with a mentor that shares your interests and can motivate your aspirations through their own experiences. They may signpost you to resources, people or places that can help your journey. Armed with self-knowledge, understanding of your ambitions and ideas of direction, you will be able to make the most of independent careers advice opportunities.
